Playing with a dark clay body to make cups and square plates, Joseph shapes these vessels by hand. Creating thrown mugs that hold a generous amounts of liquid libations, has large mouths to allow larger hands in for easier cleaning, equipped with a handle and most have thumb rest. The plates are embellished with an actual marijuana leaf then burned out to leave the image embedded in the clay. The mugs are embellished with images of pipes walking about and with cannabis leaves. Glazed with a food safe Amber Celadon glaze and fired to cone 10 in a reduction atmosphere.
